Blue Wave Futures is a for-profit company with a social purpose. To the greatest extent possible we strive to have a material positive impact on the environment, the ocean, the economy, local communities, and on the spiritual connection between humans and the sea.

Our company is organized for the purposes of participating in, and aiding, aquatic farmers, fishermen and Native people in growing and harvesting regenerative aquatic food (kelp and seaweeds and eventually oysters). We also pursue remediation, enhancement and restoration of mariculture stocks and promote clean water, food security and food sovereignty through environmentally responsible mariculture and aquaculture practices.

The social purpose of the company is not necessarily compatible with, and may at times be contrary to, maximizing profits and earnings for member owners.
